jane magazine redesign
comprehensive editorial restructure and redesign of jane magazine. many months were spent on this project, starting with meeting with brandon holley and her staff at jane - collaborating on ideas in an attempt to figure out how to more effectively communicate what they were trying to say with the magazine as a whole. everything from typography, grid and organization of the book to fashion stories and overall photographic art direction was rethought. the goal of the redesign was to figure out how to make jane honestly and effectively communicate with its readers in a warm and human way and create a general sense of editorial transparency.

completed in collaboration with the staff of jane magazine and under the creative direction of joshua liberson and ethan trask at helicopter, llc. below are images from the launch issue which we (helicopter) collectively acted as art directors/designers.
